Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
CT Scan Report of my female relative (23 years of age) reveals that; 1-Extracerebral CSF Spaces are prominent with widened Sulci near Vertex. 2- Rest of the brain parenchyma is normal with no area of abnormal density. 3- Intra CSF Spaces are normal in appearance. 4- No Midline Shift or mass effect is seen. 5- No Extradural or Subdural Fluid Collection or haematoma is seen. 6- Posterior Fossa is normal. 7- in View paranasal sinuses and bones are normal. The patient is feeling headache the intensity of which sometimes increase. Please let us know its treatment. Is it curable?. How Dangerous it is?. What precautions should be adopted?. Any other perils/suggestions. Thanks & Regards,
The CT scan of brain is within normal limits with only finding being prominent extra-cerebral CSF spaces and widened sulci. However, this is unlikely to be the cause of headache. I suggest you to consult your physician for management of headache.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
